The first twenty-first decade was marked with a great explosion in the CG scene. CG animation advanced at dizzying rates as industry giants like Pixar and Square Enix pushed the medium. Flash animation by individuals dominated the web, and phenomena like Potter's Puppet Pals and Charlie the Unicorn graced every screen in all its sing-song obnoxious glory.
